  3. This film is very touching and inspiring and should be shown everywhere. The devotion to the Dalai Lama that is shown in the film says it all. Tibet will be free!

  4. This documentary brought so much emotion in me that I find myself in tears at my desk. Dhondup Wangchen and Golog Jigme paid a great price for this film and I think it’s working as intended by the film makers. It makes me want to do something for my country, anything. It further strengthens my conviction and dedication of working for my country. I hope and pray that the film makers would find peace of mind, where ever they are. Bho Rangzen !!!

  6. I don´t know how to thank everybody involved in this video. and it´s even more sad that all i could do is watch n cry. we younger tibetans have to learn specially from the older tibetans in tibet, their faith in dalai lama and cry for the freedom, they are so helpless, frustrated, they r so old yet their strength, devotion and the truth is what we should bear in mind. let´s unite and work until we achieve something. BOD GYALO.

Long Live His Holiness The Dalai Lama…Bod Gyalo…!!!

  10. Dear Filmmakers and all true hearts….I woudl like to offer thse two poems from Walt Whitman, Anerica’s case of Cosmic Consciousness:

    TO A FOIL’D EUROPEAN REVOLUTIONAIRE

Courage yet, my brother or my sister!
    Keep on- Liberty is to be subserv’d whatever occurs;
That is nothing that is quell’d by one or two failures, or any
    number of failures,
Or by the indifference or ingratitude of the people, or by any
    unfaithfulness,
Or the show of the tushes of power, soldiers, cannon, penal
    statutes.

What we believe in waits latent forever through all the continents,
Invites no one, promises nothing, sits in calmness and light, is
positive and composed, knows no discouragement,
    Waiting patiently, waiting its time.

(Not songs of loyalty alone are these,
    But songs of insurrection also,
For I am the sworn poet of every dauntless rebel the world over,
And he going with me leaves peace and routine behind him,
And stakes his life to be lost at any moment.)

The battle rages with many a loud alarm and frequent advance and
    retreat,
The infidel triumphs, or supposes he triumphs,
The prison, scaffold, garrote, handcuffs, iron necklace and
    leadballs do their work,
The named and unnamed heroes pass to other spheres,
The great speakers and writers are exiled, they lie sick in distant
    lands,
The cause is asleep, the strongest throats are choked with their own
    blood,
The young men droop their eyelashes toward the ground when they
    meet;
But for all this Liberty has not gone out of the place, nor the
    infidel enter’d into full possession.

When liberty goes out of a place it is not the first to go, nor the
    second or third to go,
It waits for all the rest to go, it is the last.

When there are no more memories of heroes and martyrs,
And when all life and all the souls of men and women are discharged
from any part of the earth,
Then only shall liberty or the idea of liberty be discharged from
    that part of the earth,
And the infidel come into full possession.

    Then courage European revolter, revoltress!
For till all ceases neither must you cease.

I do not know what you are for, (I do not know what I am for myself,
nor what any thing is for,)
But I will search carefully for it even in being foil’d,
In defeat, poverty, misconception, imprisonment-for they too are
    great.

    Did we think victory great?
So it is- but now it seems to me, when it cannot be help’d, that
    defeat is great,
And that death and dismay are great.

    TO YOU

Whoever you are, I fear you are walking the walk of dreams,
I fear these supposed realities are to melt from under your feet and
    hands,
Even now your features, joys, speech, house, trade, manners,
troubles, follies, costume, crimes, dissipate away from you,
Your true soul and body appear before me.
They stand forth out of affairs, out of commerce, shops, work,
farms, clothes, the house, buying, selling, eating, drinking,
    suffering, dying.

Whoever you are, now I place my hand upon you, that you be my
    poem,
I whisper with my lips close to your ear.
I have loved many women and men, but I love none better than you.

O I have been dilatory and dumb,
I should have made my way straight to you long ago,
I should have blabb’d nothing but you, I should have chanted nothing
    but you.

I will leave all and come and make the hymns of you,
None has understood you, but I understand you,
None has done justice to you, you have not done justice to yourself,
None but has found you imperfect, I only find no imperfection in
    you,
None but would subordinate you, I only am he who will never consent
    to subordinate you,
I only am he who places over you no master, owner, better, God,
beyond what waits intrinsically in yourself.

Painters have painted their swarming groups and the centre-figure of
    all,
From the head of the centre-figure spreading a nimbus of
    gold-color’d light,
But I paint myriads of heads, but paint no head without its nimbus
    of gold-color’d light,
From my hand from the brain of every man and woman it streams,
    effulgently flowing forever.

O I could sing such grandeurs and glories about you!
You have not known what you are, you have slumber’d upon yourself
    all your life,
Your eyelids have been the same as closed most of the time,
What you have done returns already in mockeries,
(Your thrift, knowledge, prayers, if they do not return in
    mockeries, what is their return?)

    The mockeries are not you,
Underneath them and within them I see you lurk,
I pursue you where none else has pursued you,
Silence, the desk, the flippant expression, the night, the
accustom’d routine, if these conceal you from others or from
yourself, they do not conceal you from me,
The shaved face, the unsteady eye, the impure complexion, if these
balk others they do not balk me,
The pert apparel, the deform’d attitude, drunkenness, greed,
premature death, all these I part aside.

There is no endowment in man or woman that is not tallied in you,
There is no virtue, no beauty in man or woman, but as good is in
    you,
No pluck, no endurance in others, but as good is in you,
No pleasure waiting for others, but an equal pleasure waits for you.

As for me, I give nothing to any one except I give the like
    carefully to you,
I sing the songs of the glory of none, not God, sooner than I sing
the songs of the glory of you.

Whoever you are! claim your own at any hazard!
These shows of the East and West are tame compared to you,
These immense meadows, these interminable rivers, you are immense
    and interminable as they,
These furies, elements, storms, motions of Nature, throes of
apparent dissolution, you are he or she who is master or mistress
    over them,
Master or mistress in your own right over Nature, elements, pain,
    passion, dissolution.

The hopples fall from your ankles, you find an unfailing
    sufficiency,
Old or young, male or female, rude, low, rejected by the rest,
    whatever you are promulges itself,
Through birth, life, death, burial, the means are provided, nothing
    is scanted,
Through angers, losses, ambition, ignorance, ennui, what you are
    picks its way.

  11. This film must touch the heart of anyone not made of stone. BOD GYALO!

  12. I have been to Tibet in 2001. It’s getting worst every day. The repression is awfull. I am crying for the tibetans. How can we help???? I want to help the association promoting the culture of tibetans, so they can teach tibetan langage and culture to the youngs. Please, tell me what I can do. Waiting for a reply

  13. This film goes deep in my heart.UNO,every people around the world must see this film and it’s message. Stop the genocide now!Freedom and Peace for Tibet and for everyone in the Universe!Long Live to Dalai Lama.Tibet Must be Free!

  14. it is one of the segments to narrate the true face of life being lived by Tibetans inside Tibet and their opinions after fifty nine years of occupation, repression, torture and indoctrination by the Chinese!

The constant fear and suffering in silence, untold and unseen by the outside world that is (are) taking place at this very moment while we are still breathing! (6000 Tibetans are still undergoing imprisonment and torture, 1000 are condemned to prison sentence and 1000 are still missing and 400 are being killed since the 10th march 2008). Very recent record!.

(Personal point of view) I think that our struggle is not ONLY about freedom of religion or culture but the root of being Tibetan itself, the sense of belonging to something, somewhere (Tibet) and to a name that we all call TIBET and TIBETANS and the authentic rights to it. The question of Tibet is not only about human rights within a given moment but what it was and what it is now and what will become of it.

Depressing 59 years have already passed and how long will we still have to wait to see what we seek. Of course it is unpredictable what Tibet and Tibetans will become of but what we all know is that things change with time and that the change for Tibet has to be brought by constant actions by Tibetans! (sadly) The Olympic game in Peking is over and it seems that the mass demonstration for the rights of Tibetans are also over!!!! Le silence a repris se rôle.

All I can say now is that I hope that there will be a constant, ceaseless movement for Tibet and Tibetans until we reach to the lasting solution for our Tibet. Bho gyalo! Bho gyalo! Bho gyalo!!!!!

After seeing this documentary film I felt extremely sad but also joy and relieved at the same time!!!

There are people like you: Dhondup Wangchen and Golog Jigme !!!!!!Gyalo
